Church and School Partner to Make an Impact in Our Community
Over 50 volunteers from the church and school community came together for United Way of Acadiana’s annual Day of Action. Blue Gators teamed up with parishioners to sort and stuff boxes of school supplies in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Leading our second annual service day in partnership with the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, school and church member Angelle Adams had this to say about the rewarding day, “Day of Action was such a great way for our school and church community to come together to make a big impact in Acadiana. It was beautiful to see parents, grandparents, and children all working together to support a cause bigger than ourselves. I love that our children at Ascension have this opportunity and are able to “get their hands dirty”…or, in this case, sweaty!!”
