Middle School Mathlete Advances to State Competition
Our incredible middle school mathletes recently competed in the Lafayette Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition held at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they showcased their problem-solving skills alongside students from several other middle schools.
This prestigious competition, part of a nationwide program, challenges students with advanced math problems in both individual and team rounds. Our Blue Gators all scored well, and we are so proud of their bravery in tackling challenging math problems under pressure!
A BIG congratulations to Benjamin Smith, who placed as a top 12 individual out of 103 mathletes and is advancing to the state competition at the end of March!
Way to go, MathCounts! And best of luck to Ben—we’re all cheering you on!
