Ascension Episcopal hoping to ride defense all the way to state championship
The Acadiana Advocate
If defense wins championships, the Ascension Episcopal Blue Gators are in great shape as the soccer regular season concludes next week.
The Blue Gators are No. 2 in the power ratings with a five-game winning streak during which they've outscored the competition 28-0.
"It's really the work we've put in all season," assistant coach Ricardo Caliman said. "The boys were very disappointed with the end of last season. They came in locked in and ready to take care of details, whether it's set pieces or shifting defensively to set the tone."
