Lafayette students perform for Broadway stars, get feedback in front of 1,700 fellow students

It's an opportunity most people don't get, especially when they're in middle or high school: in-person, immediate feedback from two Broadway stars.
But it was the chance six Lafayette Parish students were able to seize Monday morning at the Heymann Center when they performed an excerpt from a musical in front of Sirius XM Radio host and pianist Seth Rudetsky and actor and singer Andrea McArdle.
They performed in front of about 1,700 Lafayette Parish School System eighth graders, who cheered on their peers, as part of an initiative with Performing Arts Serving Acadiana, Love Our Schools and other groups.
