The Upper School Gators for Others team organized a service day in September, during which students volunteered in the community. Based on their talents and interests, students chose between three organizations to serve.

Under the leadership of Ella Pool and Ava Bourgeois, students who volunteered at the Lafayette Animal Shelter had the opportunity to learn about the organization's mission and tour the facility. Some students observed procedures such as rabies shots and neutering, while others interacted with the animals by walking and washing the dogs or playing with the kittens. During their time at the shelter, students were thrilled to witness a dog named Uno getting adopted and finding a new forever family. “It was such a heartwarming experience!” said Martha Odom.
