Perfect score: Louisiana freshman aces ACT exam on her first try
The Acadiana Advocate
A Lafayette freshman scored a perfect score — a 36 — on the ACT exam on her first try.
Fewer than 1% of students nationwide who take the ACT score a 36. Ascension Episcopal School student Lilly Sheets now joins that rank.
"At first, I thought (the scores) might have been for the wrong person," she said in a statement. "I had hoped to score in the high twenties or low thirties, but I certainly did not expect a 36."
The news spread around her school quickly and Lilly said she was "honored by all the congratulations and couldn't stop smiling all day."
