Thank you for your interest in Ascension Episcopal School. Below, you will find a variety of ways to explore our school. We are excited to speak with you and get to know your family through our admissions process!*
Complete our online inquiry form. A member of our team will then reach out to you to discuss academic and co-curricular offerings at Ascension and answer additional questions.
While our website provides a glimpse of what life is like at Ascension, the only way to truly experience our school is to see us in action! For this reason, we offer campus tours throughout the year and invite you to tour all three campuses to learn how each contributes to Ascension’s mission.
The Ascension application process is entirely online. Once you have applied, a team member will email a checklist with instructions on documents to upload.
Applying does not guarantee a spot at Ascension. All application process steps must be completed. Availability does not guarantee acceptance. If your child is the right fit, a contract will be issued in Step 5.
The application fee will be waived for any applicant that meets at least one of the following criteria listed below. Please notify the Director of Admissions if you qualify for one of these three prior to applying for admission:
* Qualified parishioner of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension
* Sibling of a current student at Ascension Episcopal School
* Immediate family member of an Ascension Episcopal School or Ascension Day School former student (alumnus)
Qualified parishioners of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension as well as legacies of former Ascension Episcopal School or Ascension Day School students will be given priority during the admissions process should space be available in the applicant's grade level.
Note: Admissions testing will be scheduled after your application is submitted.
After submitting your application, our team member will contact you to schedule a date for your child to experience Ascension by shadowing one of our students. Students typically visit with their current grade level.
In mid-January, Ascension issues re-enrollment contracts to our current families. At the end of January, new enrollment contracts are issued based on availability in each grade level and acceptance.
*Availability in a grade level does not guarantee acceptance. NOTE: All preschool students must be 3 years old by September 30th and potty-trained by the start of school.
What better way to learn about Ascension than from other Ascension parents?
Email askaparent@ascensionbluegators.org and include the grade level you are interested in so we can best match you with a current Blue Gator parent to answer any questions you may have.
Open Admissions Philosophy
Ascension Episcopal School accepts applications based on an open admission policy, which means that while any family is allowed to apply, Ascension will only enroll those students who will benefit from and support the educational programs offered. More specifically, Ascension enrolls students who will flourish in and benefit from the experience of a program based on educational excellence in a Christian environment. Ascension Episcopal accepts applications for admission all year-round. New admission into the junior and senior year at Ascension occurs only under unique circumstances.
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension School (Ascension Episcopal School) admits qualified students without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. We are an inclusive community.
